A Regency Christmas Menu

Would you like a taste of Jane Austen’s Christmas this year? Here are some recipes for seasonal dishes that Jane and her family would have enjoyed.

Christmas cake
Mincemeat Pies

Dinner:
White Soup
Vegetable Pie
Pork Pie – Coming soon!
Goose (or Chicken) with Stuffing

Sweets:

It was the custom during the Regency to have a Christmas dinner on the 25th, and there were often balls given near the day. Some of these recipes are easily adapted to be served to a crowd at a festive ball – particularly Mince and Pork Pies!
